More Than a Build

The Namabunda Aboriginal Cultural and Education Centre at Alstonville is being delivered in genuine partnership with the Bundjalung Tribal Society on Widjabul/Wia-bal Bundjalung Country. It is among the most significant projects Kick Building has undertaken, and the one that most directly reflects why the practice exists.

Country, Culture, Community

The Cultural Centre Crew brings together four organisations: Kick Building, Hunter Boorn, Namabunda Farm and the Bundjalung Tribal Society. Kick has committed to First Nations participation, cultural safety and regional employment throughout delivery. Cultural values are upheld at every stage of planning and construction. This is not a project Kick is building for the community. It is a project Kick is building with them.

A Place That Will Outlast the Build

The centre will serve as a permanent home for cultural practice, education and community connection for the Widjabul/Wia-bal Clan of the Bundjalung Nation. A place where culture is kept alive, passed on and celebrated. Built for long-term impact, not completion.
